Our client is one of the oldest and best known teaching hospital in in Singapore. The hospital is a tertiary care facility with approximately 1,300 beds and 29 clinical department / services.

The hospital has a requirement for a Consultant Infectious Diseases

We are looking for a suitably qualified infectious disease physician to join the Department of Infectious Diseases. The department has 8 consultant physicians and is the leading department in the specialty in the country. The Department provides general infectious disease inpatient and consultative services at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and runs clinical service at the Communicable Disease Centre, which is the national referral centre for HIV infection, communicable diseases, communicable disease outbreak management and tropical infectious diseases. The department has the largest travel medicine clinic in the region and a successful outpatient parental antibiotic therapy clinic, and is responsible for infectious disease teaching for medical students and resident medical officers. There is an active and expanding research programme at the affiliated Infectious Disease Research Centre. English is used for all professional communication and medical records.

The position will offer involvement in a varied and interesting infectious disease clinical practice as well as clinical and/or laboratory research. Candidates must have completed advanced specialty training in infectious diseases plus working experience as an independent infectious disease physician, as well as be registrable with Specialist Accreditation Board, Singapore. Remuneration will be highly competitive and will depend on experience and qualifications.

Requirements:

Foreign qualifications approved for specialist accreditation in Singapore are:

• American / Canadian Board or FRCA or Facharzt
• Minimum of three (3) years post-board experience
• Basic Degree must be registrable with the Singapore Medical Council
