Tax Director – Real Estate Group
- Job Responsibilities:
Working with Real Estate clients of our client, you will use your high level tax consulting experience and management skills to oversee multiple projects and people teams. You will also use your business development and client management skills to cultivate client relationships into additional services and referral sources.
- Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- Must have 8-12 years recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax compliance and tax review experience.
- Preferred Skills:
• CPA or MST highly desired.
• Specialization in Real Estate Industry including Partnership Returns and Affordable Housing/HUD filings.
• Ability to deliver high quality, profitable services to assigned clients, while meeting or exceeding personal productivity objectives.
• Excellent Communication Skills. Communicates continuously with client and internal Managers, Partners, and the engagement team. plan client engagements while providing expert tax consulting services.
• Prior experience supervising and reviewing the work of team staff members. Provides timely performance feedback to team members; both formally and informally.
• Identifies potential risk issues and acts to resolve them.
• Possesses in-depth and current knowledge of tax laws and regulations, demonstrates understanding of IRS Practices.
• Proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships with CFOs, Controllers, and mid-sized business owners.

Sr. managers/partners must demonstrate the ability to capably perform the functions of an assurance and business advisory professional. - Complete most engagements with a minimum amount of supervision. This will include conducting and performing forensic financial analyses, building models, maintaining documents produced in litigation, summarizing depositions, assisting in report writing, and performing quality control procedures on schedules and reports. He/she will make decisions on all but the most unusual or complex matters. When problems arise, the Senior Associate will outline the issue for a Manager or Principal and then act on the proffered advice.
- May direct staff, instructing them in work to be performed, reviewing their completed work and directing any necessary revisions or actions.
- Determines engagement timelines, in conjunction with the engagement Manager/ Principal, and instructs assistants in time management methods allowing them to efficiently and effectively accomplish the Firms objectives.
- Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Participate in Firm business development efforts, including the development of presentations, proposals and qualifications packages.
