Our client a major hospital in Abu Dhabi is undergoing a transitioning into one of the leading healthcare facilities in the United Emirates under the management of Cleveland Clinic. The hospital strategy is to improve the current status of health care delivery by expanding its services and technology, upgrading and improving the physical condition of its existing facilities, combining its health care resources for a more efficient model of health care delivery, increasing its current bed capacity to accommodate the needs of its patients, and create a system for health care professionals to work as one team within the hospital. The hospital has more than 4,000 staff from different nationalities.

Job Opening: Consultant Pulmonologist

Requirements:

American / Canadian Board or the Western European equivalent and a minimum of three years post board experience.

Job Opening: Chair of Critical Care

Requirements:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Has overall supervision of this department to include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervises all clinical activities of the department and medical personnel in EH and VIP

  • Coordinates with the Director of Medical Services on all administrative activities of the department

  • Recommends clinical privileges for each member of the department

  • Coordinates and integrates services intradepartmentally and interdepartmentally

  • Develops the policies and procedures that guide provision of services

  • Develops in cooperation with the Director of Medical Services a human resources plan for the department

  • Determines the qualifications and assesses the competency of all members of the department

  • Provides the necessary leadership in the development of future planning as it effects the department

  • Provides ongoing assessment and improvement of the Department’s performance

  • Carries out, or receives and reviews from Heads of Divisions, annual performance evaluations of physicians within the Department and assures that these evaluations are forwarded to the Credentials Committee for their review

  • Convenes and Chairs regular meetings of the Department

  • Participates as a member of the Medical Executive Committee

  • Provides orientation, in-service education, and continuing education of all personnel in the department

  • Determines space allocation and other resources needed for the department to function

  • Develops a quality improvement program in the department

  • Participates in interdisciplinary quality improvement program related to the department.

  • Advocates for an interdisciplinary approach to care delivery

  • Promotes research within the department and the hospital

  • Promotes and participates in ongoing education and training of all medical staff in his/her section, including participation in hospital symposia and specialist meetings

  • Performs other applicable temporary tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Observes the By-Laws and adheres to the policies and procedures of the institution

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current licensure in place of active practice.

  • Minimum six (6) years experience as a Consultant in an active, acute-care accredited institution or equivalent.

  • Previous experience as a Department Chairperson, or Assistant Chairperson, in a tertiary care hospital.

  • Academic background desirable.

COMPENSATION – Up to $110K

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Plan, perform and manage valuation projects with the ability to multi-task between several projects independently (unsupervised capacity).
    • Manage client relationships with the goal of becoming the point person for designated key clients.
    • Consult with clients in all aspects of valuation process.
    • Must be able to articulate deal issues and document accounting issues clearly with a concise writing style for the preparation of reports.
    • Mentor and train staff.
    • Support business development activities.
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
    • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
    • Valuation or relevant accreditation preferred (ASA, CFA, ABV).
    • Minimum 4 years experience consulting in a consulting firm, CPA firm, investment bank or related environment providing services in corporate finance, valuation services and/or transaction services.
    • Strong experience performing business assessment & analysis, options valuations, purchase price allocations, valuation of intangible assets, preparation of valuation reports/schedules, understanding of SFAS 141 and 142 and financial reporting.
    • Manage valuation projects using market, income and cost approaches.
    • Some experience with information technology
    • CPA desired but not required.
    • Experience in management of projects and staff in field and local office.
      - Solid understanding of valuation methodology.
    • Experience with business development preferred but not required.
    • Must be self-motivated.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
